Personal: W. Thomas Graham resides in Monroe Township, Monroe County, Michigan. Tom grew up in Bedford Township, Monroe County, Michigan, graduating from Bedford Senior High School (Salutatorian) in 1969, before attending college in Baltimore, Maryland at Johns Hopkins University. He returned home in 1973 to attend the University of Toledo College of Law, and while in law school began working for the Bedford Township attorney performing work for the Township of Bedford. He has worked on many municipal, estate, probate, trust, real estate, corporate, and business entity matters since 1976. Tom is a past member of the Monroe Community Foundation, Bedford Community Foundation and Monroe Golf and Country Club.

Personal: Philip D. Goldsmith is one of the firm partners. Mr. Goldsmith has been a practicing attorney for 28 years, all of which have been served with the law firm of Lennard, Graham & Goldsmith. A lifelong resident of Bedford Township, Monroe County, Michigan, Mr. Goldsmith previously served as a Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy for six years and specialized in traffic accident reconstruction. Mr. Goldsmith devotes most of his time to civil litigation and municipal law. Mr. Goldsmith also devotes substantial time to estate planning, real estate law and criminal law. He has also served as a receiver and a private facilitator for various cases and legal matters.



MARTIN J. KAMPRATH

MARTIN J. Personal: Martin J. Kamprath (Marty) is one of the firm’s partners since 1997 and has been practicing law for over 27 years, since 1986. He spends a fair amount of his time representing the firm’s various municipal clients including, but not limited to, the County of Monroe, Bedford Township, Milan Township, and Ida Township, all in Monroe County, Michigan. He also spends a substantial amount of time in the areas of Estate Planning, Real Estate and Business matters. He is a life-long resident of Ida Township, Michigan and continues to live on and operate his family’s sesquicentennial farm and represents many clients with farm-related issues. He is a life member and director of the Monroe County Fair Association and contributes volunteer time and resources to that Association. Prior to entering the legal field Mr. Kamprath worked in the areas of construction, design and industrial engineering and gained his professional engineering license in the States of Michigan and Ohio.

ISAAC A. SKAGGS

ISAAC A. SKAGGS, admitted into the Michigan Bar in 2017.
Education:
University of Toledo (B.S., summa cum laude, 2014), University of Toledo (J.D., cum laude, 2017).

Member: Monroe County Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Skaggs was raised in Erie, Michigan, and graduated from Mason Senior High School in 2010. He then attended the University of Toledo for his undergraduate studies, earning several academic accolades during his time there. After receiving his bachelor’s degree Mr. Skaggs chose to attend the University of Toledo College of Law, where in addition to being a student he was selected to be a member of the Law Review.

Personal: Mr. Skaggs has also coached basketball at Mason Senior High School for several years, first as an assistant and now as a head coach. He currently resides in Bedford Township with his family, and has been with the firm since September, 2018.

LINO A. TAORMINA

Personal: Mr. Taormina was raised in Monroe Township and graduated from St. Mary Catholic Central High School in 2012. Mr. Taormina graduated from Adrian College in 2016 where he played on the soccer team for four seasons. During law school at the University of Toledo College of Law, Mr. Taormina clerked for the Honorable Daniel S. White in the Monroe County Circuit Court. Mr. Taormina has been with the firm since August, 2018.

MICHAEL W. LaBEAU is a retired Monroe County Circuit Court Judge. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1974 and to the U.S. District, Eastern District of Michigan in 1974. Education: Western Michigan University (B.B.A., 1969); Detroit College of Law, now Michigan State University (J.D., 1974)

Areas of Practice: Mediations, Facilitations, and Arbitrations.

Personal: Judge LaBeau, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, was on the bench for 29 years, 5 months. When he retired on May 31, 2014 he was the longest serving Judge in the history of Monroe County. In the last survey conducted by the Monroe Evening News, he was considered fair, demanding but professional, and knowledgeable about the law. Before becoming a Judge, he had a successful private law practice, represented Frenchtown Charter Township for 6 years, and served as the elected Monroe County Prosecutor for 8 years. He is a past President of the Monroe County Bar Association. Prior to his retirement from the bench, he was appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to be the Monroe County Business Court Judge.  He became Of Counsel with the firm on September 1, 2014.
